    Fedcap Maine is seeking a motivated, inspiring and outgoing professional to join our team as a Placement Specialist. The primary responsibility of the Placement Specialist is to help our participants find paid, volunteer or/and community service employment opportunities. Placement Specialists focus on matching skillsets and values of the participants with local employment opportunities for their assigned caseload. Additionally, members of the Placement Team build and maintain relationships with employers and non-profits which offer volunteer and/or employment opportunities for program participants

    Position Key Highlights:

    + Earn a minimum 46K + (starting) pay in this amazing role where you will be building bridges in the community that help participants in a unique way to improve their economic stability and that of their family!

    + The hours are full-time Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Match our participants with paid, volunteer or/and community service employment opportunities based on their Career Plan, vocational evaluation, TANF work requirements/hours and need for accommodations.

    + Support participants in developing their skills and confidence in obtaining new sustainable placements, including candidate preparation prior to interview or placement start.

    + Conduct follow-up calls and visits to ensure that employers, including our non-profit partners, are satisfied with our participants and mediate concerns.

    + Work with our education team to host hiring events which strategically match our participants with employers.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher education and/or equivalent experience in business development, sales or recruitment.

    + Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service.

    + Valid driver’s license
