Description We are looking for an experienced Director/Manager of Financial Reporting to oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is critical in maintaining accurate and timely reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Based in Melbourne, Florida, this position offers an opportunity to lead key financial processes and contribute to organizational success.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Assist in the creation of semi-annual reports, including detailed balance sheet account reviews and consolidation packages for the parent company.
• Lead the preparation of annual standalone consolidated financial statements and accompanying footnotes.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting, while maintaining the close calendar.
• Develop executive-level summaries, such as the monthly chairman’s report, to communicate financial insights.
• Create and post corporate accounting journal entries, including allocations of corporate G& A expenses and intercompany balancing transactions.
• Conduct technical accounting research and draft documentation for new standards and transactions, including the preparation of internal and external memos.
• Oversee ASC 842 lease accounting processes, including initial assessments, reconciliations, and rent analyses.
• Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets to identify key trends and discrepancies.
• Ensure the integrity of financial reporting by implementing and maintaining key controls. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification is required.
• 7-12 years of experience in financial reporting, with a strong background in consolidation processes.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and its application in financial reporting.
• Previous experience working with large ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct detailed variance analyses.
