Description
Our client in North Austin is looking to hire an Assistant Controller for the following functions:
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
+ Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification of revenues and expenses.
+ Develop and manage financial reports to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
+ Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and financial reporting standards.
+ Assist with internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
+ Maintain accurate records and processes to ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.
+ Support the Controller in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
+ Monitor financial performance against budgets and analyze variances.
+ Identify and recommend cost-saving strategies and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
+ Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data and reporting.
+ Provide support for payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable functions as needed.
+ Implement and enhance internal controls to safeguard and streamline financial processes.
+ Maintain accurate records of fixed asset acquisitions, ensuring proper classification, valuation, and compliance with accounting standards.
+ Track project costs, including labor, material, equipment, and overhead for construction work-in-progress accounts.
+ Contribute to special financial projects and initiatives, including those related to multiple locations.
Requirements
This role requires a CPA and is a hybrid opportunity. Knowledge of an ERP system is a requirement.
