Description We are looking for an Analyst to join our team in Denver, Colorado, to support the power marketing business by ensuring accurate accounting, analysis, and reporting of transactions. This role involves reconciling settlement data, analyzing market charges, and maintaining detailed documentation to facilitate informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial systems and energy markets, contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily settlement files, including transmission, energy, and pricing data, against internal systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of market activity and provide detailed analysis to traders and management for strategy enhancement.

• Manage invoice reconciliation, research discrepancies, and communicate with ISOs to resolve issues and submit disputes as needed.

• Prepare and process payment requests while adhering to invoicing and payment deadlines.

• Record and review journal entries in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with audit requirements.

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, providing detailed reports and insights to management.

• Support the development and implementation of new settlement systems, processes, and controls.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address scheduling and settlement challenges and improve overall efficiency.

• Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational needs. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Proficiency in Excel and other Windows-based programs, with proven ability to learn and utilize financial systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Experience in tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Microsoft SQL is a must.
