Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Attorney Legal Director to join a leading law firm in Fairfax, Virginia. This role requires a licensed attorney who will play a pivotal role in managing a substantial legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of the firm's legal department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to drive the department's success and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of over 20 attorneys and legal support staff, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

• Direct the legal department's operations, ensuring high-quality legal services, client satisfaction, and profitability.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize efficiency, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for technological advancements.

• Enhance the firm's legal training resources and collaborate with leadership to improve overall sales and operational performance.

• Partner with firm leadership to plan legal department initiatives, including hiring strategies and quarterly projects that align with annual goals.

• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and maintain a consistent focus on delivering exceptional client experiences.

• Provide strategic oversight of case management, briefing, and litigation processes to uphold the firm's high standards.

Requirements • Must be a licensed attorney with eligibility to practice in any U.S. state.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal leadership or management role.

• Proficiency in legal software tools such as case management systems, Adobe Acrobat, and document management platforms.

• Strong understanding of civil litigation, complaint handling, and claim administration.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a large legal team while driving operational excellence.

• Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and maintain high team morale.
