    Description

    Robert Half is assisting a highly reputable client in San Diego, CA with hiring an organized and results-driven Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist. If you thrive on working independently while maintaining strong communication skills to resolve client billing issues, this role is for you. This is an exciting opportunity to support the client’s financial operations in a collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, posting payments, and reconciling accounts.

    + Ensure accurate and timely processing of billing statements and collections.

    + Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments by communicating directly with customers.

    + Prepare aging reports and track outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.

    + Collaborate with other departments to maintain accuracy in customer accounts and assist in resolving client issues.

    + Process credit memos, adjustments, and refunds as needed.

    + Support month-end close by preparing accounts receivable entries and related reporting.

    + Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

    Requirements

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred or equivalent work experience).

    + 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

    + Strong communication skills and the ability to handle client disputes professionally.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

    + Strong understanding of billing, receivables, and collections processes.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working with ERP systems for automation and reporting.

    + Knowledge of multi-state tax regulations and compliance requirements is a bonus.
