Description

Robert Half Legal has partnered with a market leading engineering and construction company dedicated to delivering renewable energy solutions for existing buildings and new construction projects throughout California. The team is looking to add a Contracts Paralegal to report directly to the Contracts Manager and VP. This is an exciting time to join the company given the booming industry of renewable energy. The role is budgeted to 100K + bonus and fantastic benefits. The position will be hybrid with a few days in office and a few days remote a week. Strong attention to detail, exposure to contracts/redlining, and someone dependable is preferred for this role. Responsibilities include:

Contract Lifecycle Management (50%)

+ Manage the full contract lifecycle, including intake, review, redlining, negotiation, execution, compliance tracking, and closeout.

Stakeholder & Communication Management (25%)

+ Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related communications, responding to inquiries, clarifying obligations, and providing guidance on contract terms.

Document Management (15%)

+ Maintain contract records, including tracking status, amendments, renewals, and terminations, within contract management systems.

Process Improvement & Team Development (10%)

+ Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines to improve efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract review, redlining, and low level negotiation (4+ years preferred).

+ Strong understanding of contract principles, risk assessment, and key contractual provisions (e.g., indemnification, damages, liability, and compliance).

+ Background as a paralegal or JD ideal but not required

+ Collaboration with internal/external teams

+ Detail-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to accuracy in reviewing, redlining, and maintaining contract records

+ Experience with Ironclad Contract Management System preferred but not required

+ Some contract management system experience required
