Imports Claims Analyst

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS Imports is seeking candidates for a Claims Analyst role. The Claims Analyst will be tasked with identifying, researching, and completing claims to vendors. The Claims Analyst will pursue and collect payments from vendors.

JBS Imports is one of the largest meat importers in North America, handling approximately a quarter of all beef and small stock shipments to the region. With sales offices across the U.S. and Canada, we supply our customers with the finest beef, lamb, mutton, goat, veal, salmon, and pork products from JBS and 3rd party suppliers in Australia, Brazil, and other countries of origin in Europe, South America, and Oceania.

Responsibilities:

+ Identify issues that cause a monetary loss to the business

+ Collect monetary loss in the form of a claim

+ Research and collect backupto support claims to vendors

+ Complete debit notes including relevant documents to support claims

+ Document and track completed claims

+ Pursue payment from vendors

+ Assist with weekly claim reporting

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred but not required

+ Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel

+ Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to follow defined procedures with consistency and accuracy

+ Practical problem-solving ability

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

+ SAP experience is valuable but not required

+ Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

+ As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

+ Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

+ Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

+ 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

+ Base salary range of $56,500-$60,000;

+ Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
