We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a friendly and organized manner.
• Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring timely and accurate call transfers.
• Manage and sort incoming mail, packages, and deliveries while maintaining proper documentation.
• Handle sensitive and confidential documents with the utmost care and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with managers and clients to address job-related or deadline issues.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling, filing, and maintaining office records.
• Assist with switchboard operations and ensure smooth communication flow within the office.
• Take on additional projects as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a positive first impression.
Requirements • At least one year of experience in office services, preferably in a legal, banking, or corporate environment.
• Previous experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or switchboard operator is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
• Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and transferring calls efficiently.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with sorting and managing incoming mail and deliveries.
• A detail-oriented approach and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
