What You'll Be Doing

+ Client Management: You’re the go-to resource for client relationships—take charge of day-to-day accounting and mentor junior staff to keep everything running smoothly.

+ Full-Service Accounting: Handle all aspects of small business accounting, including:

+ Preparing financial reports to support tax returns.

+ Reconciling loan balances and payroll liabilities.

+ Preparing business and related individual tax returns (don’t worry, we’ll teach you if you want to learn!).

+ Tax Season Hustle: Dive into tax prep during Q1 but enjoy a variety of small business accounting and payroll work during the rest of the year (tax represents about 40% of the firm’s focus).

+ Multi-Entity Accounting: Got experience with multi-entity businesses? Bonus points for you!

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

+ Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting setting. We’re open to candidates transitioning out of tax roles at mid-sized or large firms. Multi-entity accounting experience is a big plus!

+ Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with clients in construction, restaurants, and bars is preferred.

+ Client-First Mentality: Strong communication skills to manage small business clients directly and assist junior staff effectively.

+ Willingness to Learn: We’re happy to train someone on tax work if you’ve got the accounting fundamentals.
