We are excited to be partnering with a well-established, women-owned law firm in South Minneapolis that specializes in representing clients in medical malpractice cases. This respected firm is known for its commitment to advocating for individuals—particularly women and children—impacted by medical negligence. With a history of securing some of the largest verdicts and settlements in the state, they continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their clients. Hybrid 1 day/week after training.

Position Overview: The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Legal Assistant to support its medical malpractice team. The ideal candidate will bring 1–4 years of experience in personal injury law and a desire to grow within a practice that is both client-centered and mission-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage case files from intake through resolution, including filing and organizing medical records

+ Schedule and maintain calendars for hearings, depositions, and other critical deadlines.

+ Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel

+ Assist attorneys with trial preparation

+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management in the firm’s legal software system

+ Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

+ 1–4+ years of experience in personal injury law (medical malpractice preferred)

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills

+ Empathy and professionalism in client interactions

+ Familiarity with Minnesota court procedures and e-filing systems

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
