    Description

    Robert Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk with our client in the Import/Export industry, based in Covington, Louisiana. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all accounts payable responsibilities, from invoice processing to account reconciliation. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accurately processing invoices and managing all related data entry tasks

    • Conducting regular check runs to maintain financial stability and transparency

    • Executing account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records

    • Coding invoices accurately and in a timely manner

    • Handling purchase orders and ensuring they are correctly matched with invoices and receipts (3-way matching)

    • Managing and processing expense reports to maintain accurate financial records

    • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounts payable tasks

    • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

    • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential

    • Ability to perform Check Runs accurately and efficiently

    • Familiarity with Coding Invoices is needed

    • Must possess strong Data Entry skills

    • Experience in Invoice Processing is crucial

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for data management

    • Comfortable with handling Purchase Orders

    • Understanding of 3 Way Matching in the context of accounting

    • Capability to manage and process Expense Reports effectively
