    Description

    Jackie Meza from Robert Half is looking for for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting practices. This role involves managing core accounting functions, monitoring budgets, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in full-cycle accounting and a strong understanding of both accounts payable and receivable processes.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

    • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of month-end close processes and financial statements.

    • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Develop and monitor budgets to align with organizational goals and financial health.

    • Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and efficiency.

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

    • Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

    • Maintain and improve accounting systems and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

     

    • Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.

    • Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.

    • Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting.

    • Familiarity with auditing practices and regulatory compliance.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
