Description We are looking for an accomplished Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public auditing and accounting, with at least 5 years of experience and an active CPA certification. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and expertise in managing financial processes across multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activities, including financial reporting, compliance, and month-end and year-end closings.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering their growth and maintaining a collaborative team environment.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and other key financial documents.
• Lead and coordinate accounting and audit processes for multiple entities within the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance business performance.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and facilitate all aspects of the audit process.
• Oversee multi-entity financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic business goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including public auditing.
• Proven experience managing or supervising teams, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Expertise in working with multi-entity organizations and handling intercompany transactions.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation, including P& L and balance sheets.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with accounting software systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
