Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Office Clerk to join our team in Linden, New Jersey. This long-term contract position requires someone who can manage a variety of clerical and administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Bilingual skills in Spanish or Haitian Creole are highly desirable for this role.
Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including sorting and distributing mail.
• Assist the Office Manager and General Manager in handling customer requests and updates.
• Maintain and update databases with customer orders, invoices, and other relevant information.
• Prepare and process outgoing customer orders for the transportation department.
• Provide support for special projects using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ensure office supplies and equipment are well-stocked and properly inventoried.
• Act as a liaison between Plant Managers, drivers, and employees to facilitate effective communication.
• Perform data entry, adjust customer orders, and handle daily filing tasks.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Take on additional clerical duties as assigned to support office operations. Requirements • Entry-level candidates or recent college graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Suite applications.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in completing tasks.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of work quality.
