Description
We are seeking a Facility Manager II for a full-time, onsite, temporary role. The Facility Manager II will act as the central point of contact for facility operations, managing internal teams and external vendors to deliver a safe and productive environment. This Facility Manager II position involves both strategic oversight and hands-on management of infrastructure, safety systems, and compliance initiatives in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as primary liaison for facility services, including parking, security, cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, fire/life safety, and emergency response.
+ Manage the customer relationship through regular site visits, rounding, and proactive engagement.
+ Ensure a safe working environment through education, training, and correction of unsafe practices.
+ Oversee cost centers, manage budgets, track financial performance, and drive cost efficiencies.
+ Conduct regular inspections to assess facility conditions, safety, and vendor performance.
+ Represent the department in policy development, committee work, and professional organizations.
+ Ensure project compliance with safety codes, hospital regulations, and quality standards.
+ Manage space planning, documentation, project scope assessments, and budget approvals.
+ Oversee furnishing, equipment procurement, and installation.
+ Monitor landlord/property manager relations, lease adherence, and tenant improvements.
+ Coordinate with internal compliance teams for Fire Life Safety and Joint Commission requirements.
+ Lead cosmetic upgrades and coordinate labor for maintenance requests.
+ Administer contracts and selection processes for consultants, contractors, and vendors.
+ Complete Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and Pre-Construction Risk Assessments (PCRA).
+ Participate in on-call rotation and respond to off-hour emergencies as needed.
+ Train and develop staff to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
+ 2–3 years of progressively responsible facility management experience.
+ Valid California Driver’s License.
+ Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance regulations, and contract management.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-demand environment.
+ Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility environment is required.
+ Preferred certifications:
+ BOMI (Building Owners and Managers Institute)
+ IFMA (International Facility Management Association)
+ CRECI (Commercial Real Estate Certification Institute)
