Description We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri. Our firm specializes in Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate Law, and we are dedicated to helping families protect their financial future and preserve their legacy. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, providing expert legal services while mentoring less experienced attorneys and contributing to the growth of our firm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of client cases, including communication with clients, opposing counsel, and advisors.

• Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and estate planning instruments.

• File legal pleadings and oversee trust funding processes.

• Represent clients at court hearings as needed.

• Serve as the lead attorney on complex cases, demonstrating strategic expertise.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced associates and legal staff.

• Conduct thorough legal research and deliver high-quality written work.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure client success and satisfaction.

• Counsel associates on procedural strategies and skill development. Requirements • Active membership in good standing with The Missouri Bar.

• Extensive experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration.

• Proven expertise in drafting at least 300 trust-based estate plans and handling 50 formal probate cases.

• Advanced knowledge of complex estate planning structures, including irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, SLATs, ILITs, GRATs, and QPRTs.

• Preferred advanced degree in taxation or estate planning.

• Strong organizational, research, and writing skills.

• Experience in Elder Law and Guardianship is a plus.

• Proficiency in case and document management software.
