    Earn an additional $1.50/hour for working 2nd or 3rd shift.

     

    Work schedule is 3pm - 1:20am, Monday through Thursday.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Haul scrap steel and metal shavings from plants to outside storage bins.

    + Move hoppers to and from lift trucks by hand at many machine locations.

    + Use lift trucks to transport scrap metal hoppers and dump in their proper outside storage bins.

    + Do maintenance tasks including grounds clean-up, snow removal, re-finishing floors.

    + General cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms and common areas.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Per 10-hour shift (stand 4 hrs., walk 4 hrs., sit 2 hrs.), frequently (bend, reach above shoulder level, push/pull), occasionally (squat, crawl, climb). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, use foot to operate foot pedals, do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment with exposure to outside temperature changes, dust, solvents and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

    + Read, know differences in scrap metals, remember, reason, carry and listen to radio.

    Work Authorization:
