    Responsibilities

    Work Location: Kinston, NC

     

    + Coordinates with company customer support representatives, contract administration, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, traffic, and warehousing (3PL); to insure efficient flow of production materials throughout the plant.

    + Incorporates planning decisions from external customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability, and arrive at optimal solutions.

    + Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets on hand or in transit in order to optimize total supply chain planning.

    + Manages WIP of fabricated Production parts for Operations; impacting end-item production—enables production scheduling decisions for key stakeholders

    + Coordinate build revisions with Operations, ME and Planning

    + Work with ME and Planning to resolve any order discrepancies

    + Assist warehouse with expediting and distributing backorders to shop

    + Validate and Quality Control VLM kits, to insure parts are available for assembly production

    + Process shop credits/Opr credits; maintains O & S reporting

    + Issue Parts to manufacturing as needed

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    + Associates degree, or higher, in business management, logistics or supply chain management OR minimum of 5 years’ experience with no degree

    + Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Planning role

    + Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as the focal / customer service representative, regarding inbound and outbound freight

    + Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with material handling equipment: tugs, forklifts various size and style; overhead crane use; use of hand tools

    + Minimum 2-3 years working with hazardous material shipping and handling (IATA, IMDG and DOT)

    + Demonstrated skills and abilities with MS Office, ERPs (Supply Chain Systems), and general end user computing

    + Must be familiar with ITAR and international import and export shipping requirements

    + Ability to do manual labor (must be able to stand extended periods, bend, lift up to 50lbs, and squat etc., while doing daily duties)

    + Exceptional communication and presentation skills / ability to multi-task

    + Self-starter with an ability to take ownership of processes/projects

    + SAP – supply chain planning
