Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to design and release aftermarket automotive products. The engineer will be responsible for all tactical aspects of the design and engineering of the product, including technical specifications, design standards, and product testing. In addition, the engineer will provide engineering and technical support to customers, factories, internal departments, application engineering activities, and documentation to support all activities.
Pay Range: $85,000-$95,000
Principle Responsibilities
+ Lead engineering activity to support various programs.
+ Participate in and contribute to the product continuous improvement design review and customer warranty investigation.
+ Mentor new hires, assist junior engineers in accelerating the learning curve, and contribute to GRIE engineering team functions.
+ Design and create 3D models and engineering drawings of auto brake products.
+ Update and revise existing drawings per new specifications or customer requirements.
+ Measure product samples in CMM and other measuring instruments.
+ Receive and handle new samples from Dealers or suppliers.
+ Ship new samples to overseas facilities as needed.
+ Collect product information and pictures from samples and establish proper data files.
+ Review and finalize product drawings created by the factory team.
+ Enter product information into a database and relative data files.
+ Maintain all control drawings and versions by updates.
+ Maintain and archive support documents.
+ Coordinate and monitor the progress of reverse engineering of samples to ensure NPD implementation and completion.
+ Communicate with customers or vendors regarding product design issues if needed.
+ Participate in identifying product cross references.
+ Support both externally to customers and internally to the working team.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
+ Proficient in Creo, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fields, or design certificate at least.
+ 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, etc.
