Job Summary

QAP is seeking a Shop Helper and/or Expeditor. No experience vital but must be familiar with a shop environment. This position is non-union but is a phenomenal opportunity to gain experience for seeking union membersQAP is seeking a Shop Helper and/or Expeditor. No experience vital but must be familiar with a shop environment. This position is non-union but is a phenomenal opportunity to gain experience for seeking union members

Main Responsibilities

+ Follows the instruction of their manager: work schedule, etc.

+ Prepares and prioritizes their work coordinates the shop operations to be carried out, observing the deadlines, coordinates orders for supplies vital for maintenance

+ Keeping shop clean (i.e. sweeping, organizing, trash removal etc.

+ Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles and equipment

+ Moving parts within the shop area as advised by mechanics

+ Pick up and deliver parts, also general office errands

+ Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations while still maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff.

+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, multi-tasker, must be willing to work outside and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirty

+ Have a safety-conscious attitude

Requirements

+ Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests

+ Must be able to successfully complete physical abilities test

+ Must be 18 and have a valid driver’s license

+ Must be able to work in outdoor environment

+ Must be dependable, punctual and have strong work ethic
