    Main Responsibilities

    + Adhere to Delta's safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.

    + The ability to operate asphalt heavy equipment such as a roller, paver, and a broom skid steer.

    + Have an accurate and working knowledge of heavy equipment.

    + Willingness and ability to keep equipment maintained and clean.

    + Willingness to work nights and weekends.

    + Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.

    Job Requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must have one or more years experience working in and around construction equipment.

    + Must provide own transportation to and from work.

     

    Physical Demands

    + Must have ability to perform physical labor, such as standing for long periods of time, lifting, climbing, shoveling, and having overall agility in the heat.

    + Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day.

    + Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.

    + Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.

    + Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.

    + The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.

    + The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
