    Job Summary:

    The Estimator is responsible for activities related to estimating all elements of project cost including labor, materials, equipment, supplies, consumables and expenses, construction equipment rental and operating costs, subcontracts, contingency, etc. in an industrial setting. In this position the individual would support cost estimating efforts as directed during project and/or proposal activities, including verifications of site conditions and quantities, assist in historical data analysis and maintenance of historical databases.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Understands company pricing procedure, rates, and their application to specific scopes of work.

    + Competent understanding of services for environmental and industrial segments; specifically, painting, scaffolding, insulation, and fireproofing.

    + Responsible for identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses for multi-craft bids.

    + Provide onsite assessments and quantity verification

    + Provide take-offs based on P&ID's & Isometric drawings, as well as all other technical documentation to prepare estimates.

    + Review and analyze customer specifications, clarifications, and requirements.

    + Develop cost estimates for bids & contract revisions, and prepare request for quotations for purchasing components, and cost analysis.

    + Maintains job tracking as it relates to estimating and pre-construction activities.

    + Assist in performing project control management as it is related to cost functions and formats.

    + Receive and review all Requests for Proposals and aide in the development of work scopes.

    + Participate in the proposal approval process, development of bid, and estimating productions factors of cost basis.

    + Apply industry standards and codes to all job specifications.

    + Understand the materials required for specific jobs.

    Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

    + Comprehensive knowledge of multi-craft services.

    + Proficient in use of US customary unit's ft., in., lbs., psi, etc.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting P&ID's, ISO's, blueprints, and technical drawings

    + Proficient knowledge in Construction Industry Standards

    + Proficient in MS Office with advanced knowledge of MS Excel

    + Excellent time-management skills, self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written with customers and employees at all levels

    + Ability and Willingness to Travel as required
