Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project & Payroll Data Entry Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up project records, entering and verifying project data, and supporting the payroll process through accurate time entry and validation, specifically for union employees. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
PAYRATE:** **Up to $23.00 Hourly
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Create and maintain accurate project records in the system.
+ Input new project data including budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
+ Update existing project records with changes as needed.
+ Coordinate with project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of project details.
+ Collect, enter, and verify time data for union employees in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
+ Review submitted timesheets for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with union rules and company policies.
+ Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Project Managers to resolve time discrepancies and ensure proper pay rates, shift differentials, and benefits are applied.
+ Process payroll-related deductions, including but not limited to child support payments, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Assist in the preparation of union-specific payroll reports and audits as needed.
Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
+ 1-3 years of experience in data entry, project administration, or payroll support, with a preference for experience working with unionized workforces.
+ Strong computer skills, especially proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management systems.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
+ Familiarity with project management or payroll software, we are using Viewpoint Vista, and understanding of union payroll practices is a plus.
