Lockwood Hills is actively seeking to hire a Processing Clerk II to join the team supporting the USPTO EASS contract. This position is on-site in the office.
Responsibilities
+ Ensures accuracy is our top priority
+ Reviews bibliographical data in PCT and enter information into the USPTO system according to guidelines with great precision
+ Depending on the task assignment, you may work with both International and National bibliographical data
+ Captures the required data with 100% accuracy and speed, paying close attention to details such as letters, numbers, special characters, and all necessary punctuations
+ Verifies your work to ensure it is completely accurate
+ Manages the mailing process for international and national electronics/paper application notices in accordance with provided guidelines
+ Quality reviews all work to ensure that applications are mailed out on the same date that they are processed
+ Work must be performed with high accuracy
+ Provides production report and timesheet entries at the end of the shift
+ Follows established safety, fire, and health regulations
+ May be assigned to other areas as necessary to reduce backlog, assist with increased workload or special projects
+ Required to refer Government representatives and inspectors to a more senior level worker in order to resolve questions or problems
+ Must be courteous and respectful to others; will be responsible for keeping work areas neat and clean
Qualifications
+ U.S. Citizenship or current Green Card required
+ One (1) year clerical/administrative experience
+ Experience using MS Windows operating environment and performing data entry
+ Accurate typing skills
+ High school diploma
+ English speaking, reading and excellent written English comprehension
+ Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
+ Attention to detail at all times
+ A quantity and quality production standard applies to the position
+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision
+ Twelve week or longer training period provided
+ Position requires that you commute into the Alexandria, VA office to be on-site
Physical Demands:
+ Manual dexterity is required for standing, stooping, sitting (on chairs & floor when necessary), reaching, climbing, and lifting (up to 15 lbs.) on a daily basis
+ Eyesight must be correctable to 20/30 in each eye
Desired Qualifications:
+ Two years clerical experience and/or working with legal documents.
+ Associates degree.
+ Above average proficiency in using a personal computer and various software applications.
+ One year experience in USPTO operations.
