• Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

    Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Greater Lansing Area to recruit on behalf of them to find a **Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager** . This key role will lead the site’s HSE program, ensuring full compliance with all Federal and State regulations, while driving a proactive safety culture on the shop floor.

     

    This is a hands-on role ideal for a career-minded, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

     

    •** **Key Responsibilities

    •️ Manage all health, safety, and environmental programs for the division

    •️ Spend 50%+ of your time on the shop floor working directly with employees

    •️ Conduct risk assessments (JSAs, confined space, PPE, etc.)

    •️ Partner with teams to improve hazard recognition and promote a safety-first culture

    •️ Ensure compliance with permits and submit required environmental reports (NPDES, Tier II, Form R, etc.)

    •️ Analyze carbon footprint, water usage & waste—drive sustainability initiatives

    •️ Lead incident investigations and corrective actions

    •️ Oversee Worker’s Compensation investigations and return-to-work processes

    •️ Conduct HSE training and lead the site's Safety Committee activities

    •️ Track and report all HSE data per internal and external requirements

    •** **What We’re Looking For

    • 4–6 years of HSE experience in a **manufacturing** setting

    • Strong knowledge of **machine guarding** , **LOTO** , **electrical safety** , and risk mitigation

    • Familiarity with **ISO 14001** , **OSHA VPP** , and other safety frameworks

    • Proven experience in **regulatory compliance** and working with government agencies

    • Effective communicator with leadership skills and emotional intelligence

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; chemical management knowledge a plus

    • Experience with continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, Gemba, 5S, etc.)

    **Pay Details:** $105,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
