SUMMARY
In a customer service oriented manner collects of tolls for ramp garage and as requested, may assist with maintaining traffic flow in assigned areas.
STATUS: Per Diem
DEPARTMENT: Ramp Garage
SCHEDULE: SATURDAY & SUNDAY
SHIFT: 930a - 6p or 130p - 10p
Responsibilities:•May assist with maintaining traffic flow and enforcement at the entrance and works to ensure a clean, debris and smoke free environment in that area.Cashier Services•Calculates, collects and processes tolls/all transactions for valet services and/or ramp parking, including discounted/non-cash transactions•Maintains proper records pertinent to the tracking of all issued tickets and posting of monies received. May prepare funds for deposit. Ensures that all money transactions are handled according to established policies and procedures.•Regularly checks that all equipment is working properly and that any malfunctions are reported to the supervisor promptly. Maintains the booth/work area in a clean, orderly fashion and keeps it properly supplied.•May be requested to provide clarification of toll or valet charges, parking policies or procedures, directions, etc. to customers; reports all inquiries/complaints related to parking or security to the ramp manager for proper follow up.•Employs use of the security alarm system as required and reports any violations of rules and regulations or suspicious situations immediately.•May perform other incidental duties as required.Qualifications:•High School diploma or equivalency, required•Basic knowledge of arithmetic, English and grammar.•Ability to follow simple instructions where interpretation is not required•Prior work as a Cashier and/or in customer service or dealing with the public preferredRequired Licensure/Certification Skills:•NoneRochester General Health System is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer. M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
