    Overview

     

    Graham Packaging is seeking a dynamic and multidisciplinary Intelligent Factory Program (IFP) Adoption Manager to introduce new technologies with the goal of optimizing plant systems, equipment performance, and product quality. The IFP Adoption Manager will be responsible for rolling-out Factory IoT processes across GPC plants and ensuring sustainable, cultural adoption of the new systems. This requires a candidate with the ability to coordinate resources, create and deliver outstanding training, and develop supportive relationships between members within the plant network. The IFP Adoption Manager will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative working environment, maintain a high levels of personal accountability, and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. A qualified candidate will be knowledgeable in the Factory IoT architecture for troubleshooting, have the ability to simplify and explain complex processes, and use a deep understanding of the manufacturing process to identify and quantify value drivers.

     

    The position is remote and will require 60-70% travel.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + The IFP Adoption Manager’s responsibilities are to:

    + Business ownership of IFP tools return on investment

    + Drive adoption of digital manufacturing best practices within company plants

    + Address concerns that limit product adoption effectiveness

    + Train operations leaders in tools and processes

    + Coordinate central Operations, Engineering, IT, QA and third-party resources to execute plans

    + Advocate for the Voice of the Customer (VOC) via process capability and defect elimination

    + Formulate strategic improvement hypotheses within the A3 Thinking process

    + Generate and communicate implementation plans using Gantt charts and work breakdown structures

    Qualifications

    Core Proficiencies and Skills

    The following skills and proficiencies are essential requirements of the position:

    + Strong understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean principals, statistics and data analysis

    + Skilled in facilitation of Problem solving, FMEA, Kaizen, Lean tools

    + Experienced in optimizing the performance of:

    + Factory systems and line process inputs

    + Operational systems for waste elimination

    + Raw materials flow, conveyance, blending, and drying systems

    + Quality systems for defect elimination

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong coaching and mentoring skills to drive engagement and ownership

    + Ability to get work accomplished through influence versus authority

    + Experience with AVEVA PI system is a plus

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

    + BS degree in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing or similar technical field

    + At least 5 years of experience working with plant operations in multi-line manufacturing plant

    + Experienced working in the plastics industry preferred

     

    The standard compensation for this role is $107,900 - $161,800. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

     

    Compensation Statement

     

    The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
