System One is seeking a Drainage Engineer in Guaynabo, PR to design and manage stormwater systems for public and private projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with other disciplines. The role also includes the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and permitting documents while overseeing the quality control efforts of the drainage team. + Direct hire opportunity
+ Pay rate range: $72,800 to $93,600/yr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Design and manage stormwater systems for public and private projects.
+ Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage tabulation, and scour analysis for transportation projects.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.
+ Design and inspect erosion and sediment control best management practices.
+ Prepare engineering reports, contract documents, and permitting documents.
+ Prepare construction plans consistent with PRHTA standards.
+ Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned tasks.
+ Manage timely completion of multiple tasks.
+ Coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
+ Lead quality control efforts for the drainage group.
COMPETENCIES
+ Proficiency in stormwater software (e.g., HEC-RAS, ICPR, BMPTRAINS, HydroCAD, PondPack).
+ Strong analytical and design skills in stormwater management.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely completion.
+ Collaboration with other engineering disciplines and clients.
+ Leadership in quality control for drainage projects.
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance for stormwater systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
+ Minimum 4 years of relevant roadway engineering experience.
+ Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License.
+ More than 4 years of relevant roadway engineering experience.
+ Experience in bridge hydraulics and scour analysis.
