Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing web applications using Java and have experience with modern UI frameworks. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. We are looking for someone with prior railroad/transportation experience. This is a hybrid office model in Omaha, Nebraska. Those willing to relocate must be onsite day 1.

Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Java.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

+ Implement UI components using frameworks such as Angular.

+ Manage database systems using SQL for data storage, retrieval, and management.

+ Enhance application performance and scalability.

+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues promptly

Qualifications

+ Senior resource (7-15 years of experience)

+ Demonstrated experience in writing web applications using Java.

+ Proficient in using UI frameworks such as Angular.

+ Strong experience with SQL databases.

+ Very good analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving.

+ Experience with JMS (Java Messaging Service) is a plus.

+ Familiarity with containerization platforms and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman is advantageous.

+ Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is beneficial

+ Prior background with transportation industry or railroad expertise

The base salary range for this position is $91457 - $137,186, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
