    Job Title: Quality Technician

    Job Description

    Conduct routine quality checks and log results. Inspect packaging, labels, date codes, shelf life, and perform tests on incoming ingredients. Conduct daily instrument upkeep and standardization/calibration of equipment. Perform daily GMP inspections. Ensure all products meet quality standards for customers by continuously monitoring for food safety and quality defects. Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility. Report any food safety and quality concerns to supervisors and Quality representatives on shift. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine quality checks and log results.

    + Inspect packaging, labels, date codes, shelf life, and perform tests on incoming ingredients.

    + Conduct daily instrument upkeep and standardization/calibration of equipment.

    + Perform daily GMP inspections.

    + Ensure all products are quality ready for all customers.

    + Continuously monitor all food products for food safety and quality defects.

    + Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Safety rules.

    + Report food safety and quality concerns to supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

    Essential Skills

    + GMP experience

    + Quality experience, ideally within foods

    + Basic machine operating and troubleshooting

    + Calibration experience

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Visual and quality inspection skills

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working within a foods GMP environment

    + Machine Operator Experience/Sanitation

    + Experience with baggers, wrappers, films, cartoners, mixers, and fillers

    + Bilingual (nice to have)

    Work Environment

     

    Candidates will work on the production floor within the toppings and bakery department. The facility is divided into a colder environment for toppings with four lines and a warmer environment for the bakery with nine lines. Each shift has around 100 people, identified by helmet color. The environment is very clean, organized, and has a pleasant pizza aroma. Dress code includes no jewelry, and wearing smocks, hair nets, beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and non-slip shoes.

    Available Openings

    1 opening on 2nd shift : 2pm - 10:30pm (.75 Cent Shift Premium)

    1 opening on 3rd shift : 10pm - 6:00am (1 Dollar Shift Premium).

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
