Job Description
The floor technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and restoring various types of flooring surfaces in commercial buildings. This includes tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and spot cleaning using specialized equipment and cleaning chemicals. The technician will adhere to safety protocols and proper floor care procedures, operating floor cleaning machines like buffers, scrubbers, and extractors based on the floor type and cleaning needs. Additionally, carpet cleaning will be part of the responsibilities.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain, clean, and restore various types of flooring surfaces.
+ Strip, wax, buff, and spot clean floors using specialized equipment.
+ Operate floor cleaning machines like buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and proper floor care procedures.
+ Clean carpets as part of routine maintenance.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in cleaning, janitorial, and housekeeping tasks.
+ Knowledge of floor care and sanitizing procedures.
+ Ability to use equipment for buffing and scrubbing floors.
+ Attention to detail.
+ At least one year of experience in a similar role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of cleaning processes.
+ Capability to operate proper equipment efficiently.
+ Ability to work independently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
