    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with a focus on operating saws and forklifts in our fast-paced aerospace facility. The role involves applying metal to customer orders, processing material accurately according to work order specifications, and ensuring that all equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic warehouse environment and are comfortable with machinery operation.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate band saws for cutting steel.

    + Operate sit-down forklifts.

    + Read and interpret tape measures accurately.

    + Perform visual quality control checks.

    + Maintain processing equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.

    + Accurately complete all required information entry.

    + Assist with other tasks as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with band saws.

    + Forklift operation experience, specifically sit-down forklifts.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in metal fabrication and the aerospace industry.

    + Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.

    + Comfortable working on your feet and handling paperwork efficiently.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large raw material supplier facility with over 60 employees on the floor. The environment is fast-paced and involves storing, cutting, and shipping materials. The facility is located in Auburn, WA, with 2nd Shift hours from 2:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday. Training includes an initial week of classroom learning followed by hands-on experience with an experienced trainer/operator. Once full-time, 2nd shift employees receive a differential pay.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
