    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic where you will play a vital role in our peanut shelling operations and buying points. Based on experience and skill level, you will start as an entry-level mechanic and progress through advanced responsibilities, including independent machine troubleshooting and repair.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform a variety of duties in the maintenance and operations of peanut shelling.

    + Develop and demonstrate skills in fabrication and machine troubleshooting.

    + Gain experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of components.

    + Perform advanced troubleshooting and independent repairs.

    + Acquire advanced electrical skills including instrumentation and programming.

    + Direct other maintenance employees in the absence of a maintenance manager or supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance.

    + Mechanical repair and understanding of mechanical components.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift experience is preferred for Tech I and required for Tech II-IV.

    + Experience working in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.

    + Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat and cold.

    + Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.

    Work in a non-climate-controlled environment, requiring adaptability to various temperatures. Flexible work schedules are expected, including potential weekend, holiday, and night shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochelle, Georgia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
