• Description
The Pipe Stress Engineer ensures the structural integrity and safe operation of piping systems through stress analysis, support design, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role involves managing projects, acting as a subject matter expert (SME), and collaborating with various teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as SME on pipe stress and support design, including ASME and other relevant codes.
Analyze pipe systems for flexibility and compliance with code requirements.
Participate in design reviews to ensure high-quality, safe, and reliable systems.
Perform computational pipe stress analysis using software like AutoPIPE.
Identify stress points, thermal expansion/contraction issues, and vibration concerns.
Facilitate communication between analysis and fabrication teams.
Prepare engineering analysis and design reports.
Specify and recommend supports and materials.
Collaborate with project teams and manage workload to meet project commitments.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Education: BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Experience: 1+ years of engineering experience.
Skills: Proficiency in BIM software, 3D modeling software, and pipe stress analysis software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California.
3-5 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in cryogenic systems and stress-critical systems.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards like ASME and API.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
