    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 5 years of experience in program management.

    + Experience designing, developing, and executing product manufacturing processes.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

    + Experience with high-volume and high-precision consumer electronics.

    + Experience program management creating and coordinating program teams and communicating program status.

    + Experience with statistical analysis, DOE, GRR, tolerance analysis, wearables, NX/Solidworks, and yield optimization.

    + Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing partners globally.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

     

    As a Technical Program Manager, you will join our expanding product development organization in the design, manufacture, and delivery of industry-leading smartwatches. In this role, your mission is twofold: to partner closely with design engineering and industrial design to drive and guide early design decisions and to collaborate effectively with manufacturing partners and equipment providers to develop robust, efficient, cost-effective, high-volume assembly processes and solutions. You will be heavily involved in the entire product development process, from architecture selection to assembly process creation to factory implementation and qualification.     The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Perform product definition and architecture selection, in collaboration with design teams, via engagement in the areas of precision electronic assembly, automation, sealing, adhesives, metal fabrication and finishing, injection molding, and leak testing.

    + Lead manufacturing, automation process and fixture development through collaboration with manufacturing partners, including identification of functional requirements, development and evaluation of manufacturing methods/equipment, and collaboration with equipment providers.

    + Provide leadership of program or portfolio initiatives related to new product introduction, new technology integration, manufacturing flexibility, and scalability.

    + Identify, investigate, analyze, and integrate new manufacturing processes, technologies, and equipment.
