    Description:

    Provide Support for critical, technical business processes and vendor relationships with problem determination and analysis, problem resolution, and proactive problem avoidance efforts. Implement JCL (Job Control Language) changes for new and existing programs, maintain the accuracy of the scheduler database and adhere to established compliance initiatives. Provide after-hours and weekend production on-call first level technical support.

    Duties:

    + Implement and track changes to production batch processes

    + Learn basics of OMF data center operations and mainframe

    + Ability to break down and assess problems through quantitative thinking and analysis

    + Basic understanding of tools used for scripting, testing, batch processing, and/or database management

    + Project implementation/coordination and production support

    + Design and code automated balancing (ABS) routines in support of critical business processes.

    + Implementation of file transmissions (FTP's)

    + Maintain and support output management software.

    + Prepare daily production schedule.

    + Update CA7 scheduler database when required.

    + Review daily Data Center Problem Report and take appropriate action on assigned problem tickets.

    + Review programmer documentation for accuracy and completeness.

    + Interact with programmers to fully understand purpose, method, and impact of planned programming changes.

    + Ensure JCL (Job Control Language), security, regulatory (SOX) and corporate standards and policies are enforced.

    + Ensure batch optimization is implemented by working closely with programming.

    + Responsible for first level on-call support for after-hours

    + Prepare D/R scripts and participate in annual D/R test.

    Experience with the following tools is required:

    + Mainframe JCL Coding

    + ChangeMan

    + Infopac ABS

    + FTP Scripting

    + CA7 Batch Scheduler

    Work Experience and education requirements

    + High School Diploma require some College or Vocational/Trade Degree preferred

    + 1 to 2 years in a Mainframe Data Center Environment is required

    + 1 to 2 years of zOS Server, JCL, Scheduling, and problem resolution required.
