Corp Telecom Administrator Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary: Responsible for the support and operations of the Golden Entertainment’s properties’ telecommunications systems including but not limited to PBX system maintenance, installation of related equipment, cabling, termination and testing, and labeling. Works closely with all Information Technology (IT) personnel and external service providers to ensure telecommunications and related network systems function as required. Performs all duties in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
+ Perform adds, moves and changes related to in-house telephone equipment installation setup and/or repairs for end-users at front of house, back of house and hotel guest rooms
+ Perform line tracing, punch down and/or repair of Voice and/or Data cabling terminations using various small tools for installs and repairs
+ Monitor for and respond to Service Desk tickets related to end-user telecommunications issues or requests
+ Daily monitoring of all telecommunications systems including but not limited to the CM, voicemail, call management, call recording, and PMS interfaces to ensure normal system operation.
+ Facilitate support activities with all service providers and/or IT personnel as needed to restore failed telecommunications services
+ Work closely with service providers to maintain, support and update/upgrades all telecommunications hardware and software
+ Strong operational knowledge of PBX systems including IP Voice and all telecommunications infrastructure
+ Strong knowledge of cabling infrastructure that includes Voice & Data (Cat-5, Cat-6) and fiber networks
+ Maintain, document, and ensure integrity (including backups) of all telephone switches, interfaces, applications, including voicemail, call accounting, workforce management and ACD System’s
+ Follow standards, policies, and procedures to enable telecommunications systems to function effectively and efficiently
+ Ensure vendor invoicing is accurate prior to sending for final approval for processing
+ Monitor for and identify opportunities for savings and cost control
+ Monitor for and identify opportunities for process efficiencies
+ Collaborate with Project Management Office and assist in tracking business project capital expenditures to help ensure projects align with approved budgets
+ Participate in project planning meetings and assist where applicable to help ensure project plans are executed successfully
+ Familiarize with terms and conditions on vendor agreements and contracts
+ Facilitate vendor management functions, including but not limited to new vendor on-boarding, vendor governance, procurement, invoice processing, expense tracking and budget planning
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
+ Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
+ 2 years previous experience in an IT environment with experience in telecommunications equipment
+ Previous experience with the Avaya and Mitel phone switches
+ Previous experience with the following systems preferred: Spok ACD, FCS gateway/voicemail, ACRA Call Recording, Overhead Paging
+ Working knowledge of computers and how they interface with IP Telephony as well as repair experience with an A+ Certification preferred.
+ Strong working knowledge of telephone systems as well as their interface with phone switch equipment
+ Strong technical troubleshooting skills and understanding of proper usage of related tools
+ Technical and/or functional understanding of GEI IT systems, architecture, interfaces, vendor products and services, and processes
+ Functional understanding of PRI and SIP
+ Proven ability to communicate effectively in technical discussions
+ Proven ability to effectively steer and manage vendor engagement that promotes GEI’s interests.
+ Functional understanding of Accounts Payable process
+ Functional understanding of IT Compliance and IT Change Management process
+ Practical understanding of vendor management and processes
+ Able to successfully read, comprehend, and follow detailed verbal instructions, to effectively determine the appropriate course of action.
+ Previous experience working independently
+ Ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to present possible solutions to challenges
+ Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
+ High school diploma and/or professional certification in related field preferred
+ Proven experience providing high level of guest service
+ Must be at least 21 years old
+ Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
+ Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
