Job Description::

The Loan Processor Assistant plays a crucial role in our organization by supporting the Regional Operations functions. This position is primarily responsible for assisting Loan Processors in preparing mortgage loans for underwriting and closing, in compliance with industry guidelines. This is a 4-month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

+ File Management: Review files, order supporting documents, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. This includes income/employment verifications, bank statements, property valuations, and opening escrow and title.

+ Compliance and Audits: Pay close attention to detail on cancellations, as they are heavily audited. Understand and adhere to compliance standards to pass audits.

+ Loan Processing Support: Assist Loan Processors by gathering information to clear underwriting conditions, responding to inquiries, and following up with key individuals to resolve issues promptly.

+ Communication: Maintain effective communication with Loan Processors, Loan Officers, Closers, title companies, and insurance companies to ensure timely loan closings.

+ Investor Stipulations: Help resolve investor stipulations and stay up-to-date on all current, applicable industry standards.

+ Data Management: Ensure complete and accurate information is maintained within the Loan Processing System while managing a high volume of loans.

+ Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Some related college courses or a degree are desired.

+ Experience: Knowledge of mortgage lending policies, procedures, and regulations is preferred.

+ Skills:

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Well-developed ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.

+ Effective time and resource management.

+ Strong interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to apply sound judgment in the execution of core job responsibilities.

+ Accommodating and able to work with everyone across the entire branch.

+ Ability to take feedback well.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.46/hr.
