    The Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast evolving group within Microsoft whose vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering cloud capacity differentiated at scale. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, O365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services.

     

    Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Sustainability & Security (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of IT hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

     

    We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven **Senior Business Strategy Manager** to lead Microsoft Cloud Supply chain’s saving program **.**

    The role of Senior Business Strategy Manager will be focusing on key areas:

    + **Drive direction** : Provide thought-leadership and define opportunities and target

    + **Perform analysis, assess impact, and develop recommendation:** collect external and internal headwind/ tailwind, analyze, assess, consolidate, recommend actions

    + **Develop communication material and influence:** own development of communication material, drive alignment with cross-functional teams and lead executive-level communication.

    + **Manage saving programs and track progress** : Partner with cross-functional teams to drive actions, alignment, bring strategy to life and deliver results.

    Responsibilities

    **Strategy Development:** Collaborating with Finance and Sourcing teams.

    + Define saving aspiration: analyze, benchmark industry, define long-term target.

    + Assess industry headwind and tailwind impact to goal.

    + Size gap-to-goal, identify opportunities, assess feasibility and prioritize.

    + Recommend actions, define initiatives and gain stakeholder alignment.

    Program Management:

    + Manage saving initiative intake, size impact, co-define target with initiative owners.

    + Proactively manage risks and resolve challenges for initiative owners.

    + Ensure data integrity, collaborate with owner and Finance to conduct financial analyses to track program impact and report consolidated results to leadership.

    Stakeholder Management:

    + Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gain buy-in, secure resources, and drive alignment on program goals.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact for program updates, ensuring transparency and proactive communication with stakeholders.

    Continuous Improvement:

    + Establish systems and tools for efficient tracking.

    + Refine process and forums for effective ideation and program management.

    + Serve as trusted advisor to Sourcing and other Supply Chain teams on cost, saving and other broader supply chain challenges.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

    + OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 3+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 4+ years of experience in high-tech Sourcing, Supply Chain, Supply Chain Finance.

    + 2+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Supply Chain Strategy or Corporate Strategy.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in Supply Chain Finance/Cost accounting

    + Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Experience in owning cross-functional and exec-level communication

    + Passionate not only in defining strategic agenda, but also in driving execution, program management cross owners/ stakeholders

    + Ability to influence and build lasting relationships

     

    Business Strategy IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
