If you enjoy staying current with federal laws and ensuring compliance, this role offers an exciting opportunity. Each time federal legislation is introduced or amended, our Grants team reviews contracts to ensure the County continues to meet all regulatory requirements.

     

    In this role, you’ll help ensure compliance with federal laws, support fiscal planning across Operating, Capital, Grants, and Special Projects, and contribute to legislative analysis.     About the Position

     

    In this role, you will...

     

    + Manage fiscal operations of grants, including establishing financial controls, procedures, and compliance with audit requirements.

    + Coordinate regularly with internal departments and external grantors to ensure effective grant administration.

    + Develop reporting systems and prepare management reports, presentations, and complex written materials for leadership and oversight bodies.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; provide training and guidance to staff and partners.

    + Collaborate with business units and other agencies to support grant and program objectives.

     

    About the Schedule

    Work Hours:

    + Full-time, 40 hours per week.

    + Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ( no weekends! )

     

    As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.

    About You:

    To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other related field -WITH- a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience.

    + -OR- Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required work experience.

    + -OR- CPA license may substitute for one year of the required work experience.

    + -OR- Ten or more years of related professional experience, or certifications, may substitute for the required education at the management's discretion.

    The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

    + Government experience.

     

    Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

    About Everything Else:

    Starting Pay Range: $61,734.40 - $70,012.80
