We are seeking a **_Budget Specialis_** _t_ who will provide direct support to faculty, student and staff for the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The position also provides entry level professional sponsored funds management with specific responsibility for pre-award and post-award functions.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
+ Process shopping carts in SAP, track purchasing orders, create good receipts and ensure that staff and faculty receive goods that they have ordered.
+ Process travel reimbursement and non-employee reimbursement.
+ Complete independent contractor requests.
+ Make routine travel and hotel arrangements.
+ Obtain and use appropriately the University Procurement Card. Follow established University and Departmental guidelines for using and reporting on the Procurement Card.
+ Create new vendors in SAP as needed.
+ Assist with account reconciliation, non-payroll cost transfers and budget allocation in SAP.
+ Responsible for tracking telecommunications (cell phones, landlines, cellphones).
+ Assist with payroll requests such as eform and student hiring.
+ Assist with the preaward activities as needed.
+ Track documents from creation to payment and trouble shoot any problems that may occur.
+ Act as liaison between top source and JHU, working with top source hires to process requests and extensions.
+ Other duties as assigned
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Projects and priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and prioritizing workflow.
+ Proficient in upholding a high level of confidentiality through adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
+ Adept in effectively communicating through strong oral and writing skills.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
+ Three years of related administrative and/or budget experience.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula
Preferred Qualifications
+ Highly organized and detail oriented.
+ Familiarity with University and department policies and procedures.
+ Experience using SAP systems.
+ Experience with Concur.

The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity.
