We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Principal DT Site Leader to lead the digital transformation of our Decatur, Alabama plastics manufacturing operations.

     

    In this role, you’ll shape and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance efficiency, automate processes, and deliver measurable operational improvements. You’ll partner closely with plant leadership, lead a team of DT professionals, and help drive the smart factory vision forward.

    How You'll Create Possibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the execution and support of digital technology (DT) strategies for the Decatur plant, aligning with enterprise-wide goals.

    + Manage and coach a local team of DT professionals, fostering skill development and team growth.

    + Oversee site-level IT budgets, resource planning, asset management, and project timelines to ensure deliverables are met.

    + Partner with operations teams to integrate and optimize systems, including MES, Oracle ERP, quality management, and OT security solutions.

    + Lead the implementation of data collection strategies within MES platforms to drive process improvements and production optimization.

    + Stay current on emerging manufacturing IT trends and translate them into actionable initiatives.

    + Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to plant leadership.

    + Oversee system design, configuration, and maintenance of MES (GE Verona Proficy Cimplicity) and ERP (Oracle), as well as edge technologies like barcode scanners and camera systems.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally and ensure best practices are adopted across manufacturing technology efforts.

    + Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support plant success.

     

    What You'll Bring to Our Team

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

    + 7+ years of experience in IT roles within manufacturing environments.

    + 3+ years of experience leading complex projects and managing IT professionals.

    + Expertise in MES system configuration, screen/UI design, and troubleshooting—ideally GE Verona Proficy Cimplicity.

    + Experience with Oracle ERP, including i-Procurement and integration/data flow design.

    + Understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles in industrial/OT settings.

    + Experience with project management and data analytics tools (e.g., Office suite, Jira, Smartsheets, Tableau, Power BI).

    + Proficient in Oracle SQL and comfortable reading code in languages like JavaScript.

    + Familiarity with Oracle MD20/MD60 documentation or creating technical specifications and vendor SOWs.

    + Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

    + Ability to work flexible hours as needed and travel occasionally (~5%).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

    + PMP or Agile certification

    + Experience with automation, robotics, or Cognex/Keyence systems

    + Understanding of manufacturing IT standards (e.g., ISA-95, IEC 61850)

    + Background working with Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations
