**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Safety & Security Training Lead is responsible for managing the development and execution of all departmental training. To be successful in this position, you must be observant and have excellent analytical skills. The ability to use alternative teaching methods to cater to various learning styles, as well as good organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ 10% Serve as the lead on the department's Operational Excellence Committee.
+ 10% Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate and gauge where skills are lacking.
+ 10% Create training programs to address skill gaps, to align with the industry standards of Safety and Security operations in the hospitality field.
+ 10% Train new team members to align with the Operational Excellence, Safety Compliance, and Guest Service Standards established in the department.
+ 10% Prepare learning materials for training programs
+ 10% Develop and conduct surveys to gauge the effectiveness of training programs.
+ 10% Research new teaching methods.
+ 10% Assist in maintaining high-performance standards.
+ 10% Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and reputation.
+ 10% Knowledgeable of, adhering to, promoting, and enforcing all policies and procedures of Big Cedar Lodge.
+ Develop and maintain accurate training materials.
+ Provide quality work and complete assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
+ Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
+ Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties.
+ All other duties as requested by your management team.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
**Minimum Degree Required** : High School Diploma or GED
**Preferred Degree** : 2+ Degree in education, training, (or equivalent work experience)
**Certificate(s) or License(s)** : Valid state driver’s license
**Experience** : Prior experience in leadership training role, i.e. (FTO, Military, Training instructor, Educator, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
+ Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
+ **Basic Computer Skills** - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
+ **Reading Comprehension** - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
+ **Oral Comprehension** - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
+ **Personnel and Human Resources** - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
+ **Law and Government** - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules that apply to job (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA, ASI).
+ Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
+ **Analytical/Critical Thinking** - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
+ **Education and Training** - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
+ **Customer and Personal Service** - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
