Job Overview

We are looking for a **Chef** to join our team in Wayzata, MN! This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. This position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Independent/Assisted and Memory Care Senior Living Community. This casual/on-call nutrition services position includes:

+ **Casual/on-call hours** - picking up shifts as needed

+ At least 1 shift a month with one being a weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

+ At least one holiday per year

+ Day and early evening shifts available

Managed by Ebenezer, we host 59 units among our Independent/Assisted Living and Memory care residential settings. Responsibilities:

+ Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes

+ Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.

+ Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents

+ Set up line service

+ Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use

+ Assists with special events

+ Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff

Required:

+ Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (FSS) OR Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) **(must obtain within first 90-days)** . Accepted Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification from the following companies:

+ Serv Safe

+ Always Food Safe

+ TAP Series, LLC

+ Advanced Health Institute

+ Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications

+ Must have good problem solving and time leadership skills

+ Good written and oral communication skills

+ _Must be 18 years of age or older_

Preferred:

+ Vocational/technical training/education/degree

+ High School Diploma/GED preferred

+ Cooking experience in a similar environment

+ Scratch cooking experience

_Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and wages ranging from $20.68 - $28.68 per hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience._
