Schedule : Your schedule will be an 8 hour shift, 5 days per week with Saturdays off. Schedules will be between the following hours: Sunday 8a -8p, Monday - Friday 8a - 8p and will be selected during your interview.
Overview:
We are seeking individuals with prior sales experience who are driven by sales goals with a passion to assist shoppers in their purchasing experience to join our team. As a Sales Generalist Agent, you'll leverage your expertise to help drive Wayfair sales performance and results through meaningful customer interactions. Your ability to understand and communicate will be key in helping our customers make informed purchasing decisions and achieving your sales goals. What Does a Sales Generalist Agent Do?
+ Handle a High Volume of Contacts: This is an in-office, inbound sales role where you will handle inbound sales calls, (approximately ~40-50 a day). This is a fast paced environment and highly structured where you will quickly build rapport, assist customers with questions, finding items, and purchasing those items.
+ Demonstrate Reliability: Attendance and commitment to being present and on time for your full shift each day is crucial. This helps ensure we're ready and available to help our customers when they need us most. For unexpected events or issues, we require our representatives to be proactive in their communication and planning whenever possible.
+ Practice Patience and Communicate Effectively : Exercise patience, active listening, and provide clear, concise information. Effective communication is essential in addressing customer questions and creating memorable experiences that build trust and satisfaction.
+ Engage with Suppliers for Complete Customer Solutions : When necessary, reach out to product suppliers to obtain details or information not readily available on our website. This extra step ensures we meet customer needs comprehensively and with confidence.
+ Adhere to Structured Sales Process: Follow our established call flow, including asking probing questions, confidently assuming the sale, and building rapport. These steps are key to consistently delivering a high-quality, customer-centered experience.
+ Think Critically and Maximize the Customer Experience : Analyze each customer’s unique needs, and proactively offer complementary items through upselling or cross-selling to elevate their overall purchase experience.
+ Drives Performance through Metrics: We measure success based on key operational metrics. Your compensation will be closely aligned with these performance standards, which helps to ensure our goals and your success are interconnected.
+ Stay Focused and Professional: Maintain a distraction-free workspace, enabling you to dedicate your full attention to customers throughout your virtual shift. Being fully present is essential for providing the best possible service.
+ Proficiency with Technology and Adaptability: This role requires familiarity with technology, comfort with multitasking, and flexibility. Stay updated with policy and process changes via email or chat, and be prepared to handle unexpected challenges like connectivity issues or unique inquiries.
+ Active Team Participation: Engage in team activities, such as sales contests, training sessions, and other culture-building events. Your active participation is vital to fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
+ Adaptability for Peak Seasons: During peak seasons, be prepared for potential schedule adjustments and mandatory overtime to support our customers and meet seasonal demands.
What are the Requirements?
+ You must be 18 years of age or older
+ Sales Experience: 1+ year of previous sales experience with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPI’s or performance metrics. (call center, retail, or virtual environments preferred)
+ Mandatory Training: Wayfair wants to ensure your success, this is why our sales training is 100% mandatory. We are unable to accommodate any absences, time off, or tardiness during this initial time frame.
+ Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively navigate multiple software systems and tools while also having a level of comfort with learning new tools or systems. Google, Microsoft office, email platforms, video conferencing, team collaboration software, navigating multiple screens, spreadsheets, etc. are highly beneficial experiences.
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college preferred
+ Adaptability: You must have a willingness to adapt and grow in a fast paced, high growth industry.
+ Multitasking Ability: Capable of handling multiple conversations or customers simultaneously while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
