The Team Lead will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Maximum Fair Price (“MFP”) for Medicare Part D drugs put into law under the Inflation Reduction Act. In preparation for the MFP go live of 1/1/26, the Team Lead will need to immediately own the development of Contract Admin and Payment SOPs; establish procedures to address MFP Complaints; perform and oversee system testing in coordination with internal and external partners and work with them to remediate any issues identified during the testing. The individual will need to become knowledgeable on the MFP legislation and final guidance published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In addition, the individual will lead the recruiting and hiring of 1 Senior Analyst and 2 Analysts and will train them on all MFP operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee a team of Analysts responsible for the day-to-day MFP operations including contract administration, daily payment processing, and research and resolution of disputes/complaints brought forward by dispensing entities and/or CMS.
+ Partners with Validata team and 3rd party vendor to ensure MFP payments are processed accurately and timely per contractual obligations and department SOPs.
+ Reviews and approves payments.
+ Coordinates with AP and Treasury Depts to ensure proper daily funding of bank account to meet rebate obligations for MTF/government withdrawals.
+ Serves as the liaison to other ECM teams, Accounts Payable, Treasury, the Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Government RPO, and 3rd party vendor.
+ Performs people leader functions including staffing, workload prioritization, performance management and champions continuous professional development and career growth of direct reports.
+ Utilize process metrics to drive business results and demonstrate working knowledge of all IT systems and tools used to load/maintain contracts and process claims/adjustments including 3rd party vendor’s systems.
+ Champion a customer-centric approach, displaying a willingness to learn, and effectively communicate complex information in a simplified manner.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams. Maintain open lines of communication to keep associates, business partners, and management informed of payment statuses, deadlines, and opportunities for process enhancements.
+ Assume leadership roles on teams and projects both within and across departments, leading projects focused on improving the contract management process and recommending streamlined strategies and improvements for current procedures.
+ Troubleshoot problems of various complexities with limited supervision and demonstrate high levels of analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to understand systems and processes.
+ Applies strong analytical skills to interpret payment data and engage with a broad range of associates at J&J and external organizations. Shares knowledge within and across departments, recognizing the effects of actions on processes involving multiple business partners.
Qualifications
Education:
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or University equivalent degree is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience required
+ Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet deliverables and deadlines
+ Experience with data analytics, including analysis, interpretation, and presenting to leadership
+ Proven track record to build and support strong, positive relationships with internal and external partners
+ Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Preferred:
+ Contract development and/or contracting system experience
+ Understanding of all phases of the contract continuum and business processes
+ Working experience in business analytics, finance analytics, legal analytics, or contract analytics
+ Experience in training, coaching, or people leadership/management
+ Financial and audit controls knowledge
+ Project management experience/skills
+ Healthcare contracting and industry experience is a plus
+ Experience with Model-N or Revitas, Sarbanes –Oxley (SOX), or Database Management.
Other:
+ This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic or international travel as well as and occasional travel to Horsham, PA and/or Titusville, NJ.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$91,000-$147,200
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
