Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent for Software Project Manager, VELYS Robotics to be in Boston, MA.
Purpose: This role will support the VELYS Digital and Capital Program Management Office with all aspects of the software/product development process. The candidate for this role is a strong collaborator that takes the time to understand team needs, is organized, is flexible to change, and is able to keep track of and complete detailed work.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement project metrics; obtain partner alignment; be a source of conflict resolution
+ Lead the preparation and presentation of project updates at governance forums
+ Lead a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure effective communication to team and leadership about strategy, goals, and initiatives to drive delivery of results
+ Balance shifting priorities across dependencies and across projects
+ Identify and assess project risks and develop risk mitigation plans; determine when to escalate issues
+ Work with cross–functional teams throughout the software/product development process to ensure the project is moving forward
+ Build and monitor accurate project plans throughout the software/product development lifecycle and communicate milestones and lead-times at key stages
+ Lead strategic or operational workstreams/workshops as needed
Education:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other relevant technical field is required.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Minimum of (3) years of experience launching or developing new products and managing product changes
+ Minimum of one (1) year managing projects
+ Previous experience with software product development lifecycle
+ Excellent organizational and Project Management skills, including MS Project and MS Excel
+ Flexibility to handle constantly changing requirements and priorities
+ Solid track record of meeting project objectives in dynamic environments by successfully handling, tracking, and implementing strategies related to scope, quality, time, and cost
+ Ability to work without direct line management authority over team members
+ Accountable, works well under pressure, and has strong time management and prioritization skills
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
+ Advanced degree (M.S., M.Eng)
+ Software and Orthopedic experience
+ Experience interacting with Agile development teams
+ Previous experience within Medical Device or a regulated industry
+ Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion to independently assess and resolve complex situations and problems
+ Interest in learning new systems with minimal direction
Other:
+ This position is based in Boston, MA and requires up to 10% travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is [$75,500] to [$120,000]
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
