We are searching for the best talent for a** **Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Precision Medicine** **to be base in Raritan, NJ.
Purpose:
The Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Precision Medicine will have responsibility for supporting the design & execution of J&J’s global commercial Precision Medicine (PM) strategy in close collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders in the global and regional pharmaceutical organization. The successful candidate should have diagnostic commercial experience and, preferably, pharma experience, be a strong leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills, possess scientific/technical aptitude and be able to translate the commercial PM strategy into execution for our therapeutic portfolio and pipeline. Key focus will be to partner with R&D translational biomarker and diagnostic teams across therapeutic areas (TAs) on precision medicine assets in development to help ensure and accelerate their commercial success.
You will be responsible for:
Primary responsibilities for this position will include but not limited to:
+ Support the design and implementation of Global Commercial PM strategy for various biomarker-driven assets in collaboration with the Global Brand Teams, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, and Research & Development (R&D) teams across various Therapeutic Area’s (TA’s).
+ Develop and implement plans for successful launch of PM programs and partnerships, ensuring seamless global access to strategic solutions that support pharmaceutical brand strategies in collaboration with internal global and regional pharmaceutical and PM partners as well as external experts and partners.
+ Provide day-to-day oversight of diagnostic partnerships with testing laboratories or test manufacturers, including providing J&J input, coordinating customer and partner education, data strategy and organizing governance meetings.
+ Provide commercial and regional diagnostics input to drive R&D decisions at various stages of development
+ Support the commercial evaluation of diagnostics platforms in support of our companion or complementary diagnostic strategy.
+ Develop and oversee budget for assigned initiatives.
+ Manage consultants/agencies for key projects.
+ Build current and future competitive advantage by understanding & addressing key customers’ needs, and by demonstrating deep understanding of competitors’ strategies.
+ Develop internal and external customer relationships that successfully drive business objectives.
+ Support the timely guidance to partners and senior management regarding the strategy and key brands.
+ Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the Therapeutic Areas (TAs).
Qualification / Requirements:
+ Advanced degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Genetic Counseling.
+ 8-10 years of experience in the diagnostic lab/pharmaceutical industry in progressive commercial roles.
+ Experience with precision medicine outside of oncology preferred.
+ Experience in diagnostics commercialization preferred.
+ Ability to champion commercial input on new biomarkers/tests through performing market research, assessing the diagnostic/testing landscape, and building commercial-ready target test profiles.
+ Passion for precision medicine and ability to identify and drive opportunities for acceleration to maximize the commercial impact of J&J’s medicines.
+ Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex technical information to share with appropriate audience.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, build relationships, resolve conflict, and influence teams without formal authority.
+ Strong analytical skills to understand scientific and financial data, recognize key issues, make assumptions, and establish priorities.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in influencing and managing a complex set of internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to manage multiple large-scale workstreams simultaneously, and prioritize workload to focus energy on highest-value initiatives is required.
Other:
+ Approximately 20% travel for business, as necessary.
+ Reports to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Precision Medicine Strategy.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $146,000 to $251,850.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
