    Job Description

    AECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Construction Project Manager V in San Diego, CA.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for client/project development, resource management, and supervision of construction activities as they relate to contract administration and management of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.

    + Responsible for overall project performance including job profit and loss for our Design Build Business Water Construction projects.

    + Coordination and integration of multidiscipline project functions including construction, project controls, quality and commercial administration in a manner to meet project operational and business objectives.

    + Responsible to establish a culture of safe work performance.

    + Actively engaged in developing and managing client relations.

    + Plans, schedules, and coordinates projects, and supervise a multi-disciplined construction workforce performing work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Responsible for the organization and direction of the construction Resident Engineers and Quality Control inspections and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline water construction project.

    + Ensuring construction installation and activities maintain compliance with contractor documents, design/specifications and industry quality standards.

    + Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

    + Review and “pre-approve” all shop drawings and submittals.

    + Acquire design center input if/when appropriate.

    + Submit for recommendation to Engineering for formal “approval/rejection”.

    + Work through issues for resolution & approval.

    + Coordinate with all disciplines, approved shop drawings and submittals (following pre-approval process by Office Engineer and respective Engineers of Record).

    + Review and analyze, in a timely manner, subcontractor or vendor documentation (correspondence, RFI’s – request for information, DCN’s-design change notice, FCN’s - field change notice, RFP’s - request for proposal, PCO’s -pending change order) inferring a scope, time or cost impact to the work of a subcontractor or vendor which may result in a change to the contract (SCO-sub change order to the JV).

    + Coordinate with and follow-up with design and resident engineers for all field related issues.

    + Review and as appropriate, prepare all RFIs responses for closure.

    + Direct the preparation of field supporting designs sketches for engineering approval.

    + Issue design clarifications as needed. Participate, manage and close all DCNs (Design Clarification Notices).

    + Ensure that all project documentation properly filed in SharePoint and Teams sites and shared with the project team via email or other notification method based on the project documentation requirements.

    + Participate in the weekly construction coordination meetings.

    + Monitor all trend, document and change logs, on a weekly basis Track and manage all change to construction installation requiring additional Engineering Support.

    + Identify and manage the design impacts to construction.

    + Document construction impacts to design requiring additional engineering.

    + Manage back-charge data.

    + Document “delays” supported by notifications, daily reports and pictures.

    + Participate in the complete approval of monthly billing to Client. Monitor Trend log, all document logs and all change logs on a weekly basis.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Construction Project Manager related occupation.

    Position requires experience in the following:

    1. Installation and startup of large wastewater processes

    2. Complex Programmable Logic Control (PLC) panels sending, receiving and signals controlling various process equipment such as feed pumps, thickening equipment and solids handling facilities;

    3. Project Manager QA/QC or Resident Engineering experience;

    4. Bluebeam

    5. Performing CADD, Revit 3D modeling navigation and edit

    6. Providing precision drawings related to design engineers intent and coordination with field activities

    7. Reviewing Basis of Design Reports, and Process Flow Diagrams.

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $140,566.00 - $234,034.00.
